Pardo night

                         Pardo night

The ACT (asian college of technology) prepared many presentation for that one night. Each performers had a unique way to present. Each of them have practice well for the pardo night.

When i got there (around 7-8 pm)
It started to rain. So the stage was transfered inside the gym behind the church (pardo church). We slowly transfered the speakers and etc inside the gym and arrange the chairs. After that the performers need to get ready (need to wear their costumes and have make up). Almost all of dancers were nervous. They were worried about what might happen and all. But the show must go on, so the program started (it started around 9-10 pm). Some of the performers used a music that i haven't heard before. And they Also have some weird dance steps that i haven't seen before

In the picture above. You can see some of the dancers there. Those dancers perform an interpretative dance of the new generation. In their presentation, each one of them has a role. There were drug addicts, rapist, snatcher and etc. We can see these everywhere in our daily lives. These have been secretly happening on our surroundings. Some people haven't realized these things are actually happening. And some are even saying that those aren't real. But i know for sure that this problem is real and we need to find a better solution.

The program wasn't bad but it was good instead. It was cool. Many people went there and watch. Each performance had a unique lesson. Just like the interpretative dance. In that dance i've learned that our society is totaly corrupted but everyone has the chance to change. Everyone has the potential to be a good citizen and can help stop corruption from spreading.

In the end we (my friends and my other friends) have learned many things during pardo night. We've also discovered  a lot of things even tho it was just one night. So i will say congratulation to everyone who perform. It was a big success and everyone have done their best to perform

Field demonstration

                              Propsmen

Me as a propsmen or props maker. We have only have a few week to make the props (a corn and a banana leaf). The propsmen were divided into groups, each group has three members and must make or create one banana leaf and one corn

This is how a banana leaf looks like. In making this leaf my group was assign to bring a material individually (like cartolina, glue, etc). My group successfully brought all the materials need to make the leaf. So few days after we finish our leaf (banana leaf with bamboo and lipak at the back). So we started with our corn, same thing happen. We bought the materials and finish making the corn. Now we join the dance (but not literally dancing, we are just going bring the crops around while the others are dancing). We didn't have much time to practice (only for propsmen because we were too busy making the props).

And then it was time for the actual presentation or dance. Me and the other propsman were scared and all. But we found the courage to do our task properly and the dance was a success. The dance maybe a success but the props aren't because some groups haven't done their task yet. Some groups were taking their time in making their props. In the end only made 7 banana leaves and 4 corns (we need to make 9 banana leaves and 9 corns).

So in the end atleast we had fun making the props. We enjoyed the dance. And of course everybody did their best (the dancers, the propsmen and etc). We may have failed to reach our goal (to make 9 banana leaves and corns) but we are going to try our best next time. So better luck next time to us.

Pambansang Kasuotan

Ang Pilipinas ay isang bansa matatagpuan sa South
East sa World map at mayroon 7000 + islands. Ang capital ng Pilipinas ay Manila. Maraming kultura.

Isa dito na tinatawag nilang tuxedos or suits. Pero kailanman hindi ito nawawala o naluluma sa puso at isipan sa mga mamamayang Pilipino.

How to win a jingle competition

August 16,2016

A jingle competition happens once every school year. It is when students practice everyday to prepare for the competition. A jingle can make a student's life fun or even more fun.

In every competition you must remember these steps or ways. First you need to stay calm. Don't be in hurry; everything is going to be fine. If you will be in a hurry everything is gonna fail or even be worse. So step 1 always remember to stay calm.

Step 2. When you're practicing make sure everyone understands each and every part of your jingle. If i everyone understands then there will only be few problems left. And if every person knows  the jingle, your practice can continue non stop but you actually need to stop or rest during snacks or free time to regain your energy and then you can continue finalizing your Jingle presentation. If everyone knows the jingle lines or lyrics and the formation then you can easily master the jingle.

Step 3. In every competition everyone must help or cooperate with one another. In that way everyone can join the the practices and everyone must sacrifice some of their time like, instead of watching movies or doing movie marathon you will use the time for practicing. Everyone must contribute something for the jingle and help those people who are confused at some point.

I wasn't able to join the jingle competition because of some reasons. Helping our classmates do our props and costumes. I felt like I contributed a big help to them. seeing them perform was a big smile on my face, placing third, it wasn't bad for us. Because I know that I did my best and also my classmates did their best too.
